northwestern Nebraska, Nebraska Highway 2 rolls over 493 miles of the diversity
of Nebraska. The highway waves at 33 communities along its travels.

Communities along Nebraska Highway 2 include Nebraska City, the home of Arbor
Day; Lincoln, the State's Capital city, home to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
Wesleyan and Union Colleges, museums and art galleries; Grand Island, the
State's third largest city and home to the Nebraska State Fair and the center
greatest bird migration in the world; Halsey, boasting a handplanted forest in the SandHills,
Halsey National Forest; and Crawford, surrounded by the Oglala National
Grasslands, Fort Robinson and Toadstool Park.
